TLDR: I'm 60% Turkesterone has a positive difference - I'm going to order more.
My evidence is all anecdotal as I haven't tracked PB lifts, total volume, exact calorie intake. I have been weighing myself on a Boditrax machine, which is as accurate a measure of weight, muscle mass and fat mass as I'm interested in.
Since May this year I've eaten around 2200-2800 calories a day, trained push/pull/legs twice a week and run 5km 5-6 times a week (mostly a lowish intensity). I'm 39 and have been running for over 10 years and weight training for maybe 4 years and weight training with decent intensity and regularity for 2 years.
In the first 8 weeks I supplemented with creatine (5g/day), I used pre-workout (MyProtein pre-workout blend, 1 scoop) and supplemented my Huel and chicken/rice/veg diet with a MyProtein Impact Whey shake. I lost 2kg of body fat and 0.7kg of muscle according to the Boditrax machine.
In the last 8 weeks I carried on with the creatine, pre-workout, the Huel and chicken/rice/veg and the protein shake but I also supplemented the pre-workout with NeekBod one or two scoops of L-Citruline and I had 1g of Turk powder split into 0.5g in the morning and 0.5 in the afternoon (and this last month Turk capsules, 2 a day, one morning and one afternoon). I've put on 0.5kg of fat and 0.9kg of muscle.
I'm going to keep going and visit the Boditrax machine again in 8 more weeks.
As for my lifts - I know my deadlift has gone up from 150kg to 170kg in the last 8 weeks, I was stuck at 150kg before I started taking Turkesterone for some time. And I can now bench press 100kg for 3 lots of 3 where as before I could only get 1 set of 3. And this is why I decided to take Turkesterone - to see if I could get to 1/2/3/4. I just need to force myself into more legs days to actually try the squats...
And even more anecdotally, I look more muscular and vascular than before I started taking Turkesterone.
I haven't noticed any side effects. The capsules are easy enough to swallow and I couldn't taste the powder in my protein shakes.
Can I say, for sure, that the Turkesterone made the difference? No. Before my first visit to a Boditrax machine this year I'd been trying to loose weight and so was calorie cutting and I lost somewhere around 14kg of weight in 5 months. I lost both muscle and fat and ultimately I lost some of my peak strength; late last year 3x3 at 100kg bench was no problem, May of this year with a lot less weight on me, it was a big problem. I then started eating more calories and training more often and then later I started on Turkesterone. Maybe my body is just finding its equalibrium, maybe I'm just putting the muscle back on to the level I was at before I started cutting and the increased calories are whats causing my muscle and strength gains. Or maybe the Turkesterone is helping me to build muscle quicker than fat.
Honestly I don't know, which is why right now I'm thinking at 1g a day I'm 60% sure its helping. I'm going to buy more and keep going for now. My hope is that it helps combat the general loss of muscle building potential that someone approaching 40 and, I dunno, maybe makes adding muscle mass 10-20% easier or something.
Will it work for you? Maybe.
Should you try it? Maybe. If you can afford it, and Neek's prices are reasonable compared to GorillaMind (especially considering shipping) then maybe its worth a shot.
The truth is, beyond anecdotal evidence, there just isn't the research and studies to prove the effectiveness. User accounts like mine are usually more positive Its certainly not as affective as steroids and you're not going to pack on tonnes of muscle in a super short space of time. You have to take user accounts like mine with a pinch of salt though - because we're all on our own individual journeys. You might be younger, have more lifting experience, be genetically stronger, have a better diet or respond better or worse to Turkesterone than me. No idea.
But, to me at least, it feels like its helping build muscle slightly quicker than without it and so hopefully it is.
